English–Chinese interpreting

InterpretMe, a next-generation interpreting agency

InterpretMe is both an event interpreting agency and a technology platform dedicated to multilingual events.

We work with professional interpreters selected according to the required languages, subject matter and level of accuracy expected for your event. Our role goes beyond simply finding an interpreter.

We can manage the full workflow: interpreter coordination, audio capture, participant access, smartphone listening, receivers, technical testing, AV coordination and on-site support.

How it works

How does interpreting work during your event?

01

We capture the speaker’s audio

From the mixing console, AV production team or our own audio capture equipment.

02

The interpreter receives the presentations

On site or remotely, then delivers the message in the other language.

03

The interpretation reaches the audience

Each participant accesses the language they need on a smartphone or receiver.

Interpretation direction

English into Chinese, Chinese into English, or both?

The setup depends on the required direction and the way speakers take turns during the event.

English into Chinese

A speaker presents mainly in English while part of the audience follows in Chinese.

Chinese into English

A speaker presents in Chinese to an audience that mainly follows in English.

English ↔ Chinese

When both languages alternate, we provide bidirectional interpreting and the required interpreter rotations.

A complete solution

A complete solution for your event

InterpretMe can provide only the linguistic service or manage the entire English–Chinese interpreting system.

The goal is to avoid making the organizer coordinate several separate providers.

Choosing the right approach

Human interpreting or artificial intelligence?

Human interpreters are ideal when the event requires high linguistic accuracy, nuanced context, complex terminology or sensitive discussions.

AI can be useful with a more limited budget, several languages to open or relatively structured content. The two approaches can also be combined.

Professional conference interpreting

Audiovisual production

A team that works with your AV production crew

We work directly with your AV provider, sound control room or technical production team. They generally provide a clean audio feed from speakers’ microphones.

Connections, audio levels and access are tested in advance. If no production setup is available, we can also provide our own audiovisual equipment.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

Is one English–Chinese interpreter enough?

One interpreter may be enough for a short meeting. Intensive simultaneous interpreting over several hours generally requires two interpreters who alternate.

Does the interpreter have to be on site?

No. Our interpreters can work on site or remotely through the InterpretMe platform.

Do we need an interpreting booth?

Not necessarily. Our platform enables remote interpreting without a complete traditional infrastructure.

Do participants need to install an application?

No. They access their channel from their browser using a QR code or web link.

Can you provide headsets?

Yes. We can provide dedicated receivers and earphones, or participants can use their own smartphones.

Can interpretation be provided in both directions?

Yes. We can provide English-to-Chinese, Chinese-to-English or bidirectional interpreting.

Can you work with our AV provider?

Yes. We integrate directly with the provider already present to receive microphones and distribute interpreted channels.

Is there a more affordable alternative to human interpreters?

Depending on content and quality requirements, AI-powered voice interpreting or a hybrid solution can be more cost-effective.
